The name comes from Guidalberto della Gherardesca, an ancestor of Nicolo, from whom he stills finds inspiration. Guidalberto was a pioneer of modern agriculture in Bolgheri in the 19th century. Nicolo’s ambition for this wine was to reveal the potential of Merlot on this terroir.
Colour: The wine is characterized by an intense violet colour.
Nose: the nose is very long and persistent with a bouquet full of fruity notes.
Palate: The palate shows already great balance and a long finish. The wine is elegant with very smooth tannins that give a pleasant finish.
